Terrence Higgins Trust has grown rapidly over the last six years through mergers and an award winning approach to service developments to become the leading HIV and sexual health charity in the UK. Our Trustees are responsible for developing

  • Experience of running a large commercial organisation or commercial business unit
  • Strategic skills and experience of communicating with young people
  • In depth knowledge of BME/African community HIV/sexual health needs
  • Experience and knowledge of public health
  • Senior sexual health nursing skills.

It will be essential that you have experience of at least one of the areas above, and desirable for you to have experience of at least one of the below:

  • High level governance and/or general management expertise gained in a large commercial/public sector or charitable
    organisation
  • Personal experience of living with HIV, and/or personal experience of using sexual health services
  • Experience of volunteering
  • The ability to act as an ambassador for THT, and draw in potential donors able to support THT’s
    fundraising work.

You must also be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to our values and aims.

The application phase has now closed and members are voting to elect the new Trustees. The results will be announced here, and by post, on November 29th.
