Has your school got the X-Factor?
School concerts and talent shows are a popular way for everyone to show off their skills, whether it’s musical talent, comedy impressions or spinning plates.
You could even have some of your scariest teachers donning their best Simon Cowell trousers and judging the acts. Get everyone to pay an entry fee to come and watch.
Ask students to produce their very own masterpieces and then auction off the artwork to parents and friends at a fun evening event.
Strut your stuff
Organise a fabulous fashion show and ask spectators for a donation on the door. Students could design the outfits or you could opt for a wacky worst dressed theme with wigs, feather boas and big baggy trousers – it’s sure to be a hit.
Hold an end-of-term 'Thanks Terry' party
Any excuse for a party! Ask everyone to pay an entry fee in advance and hold a raffle on the night to raise extra funds. Add some extra excitement by getting everyone to vote on the fancy dress theme.
Is the next Junior Masterchef in your class?
Whether you hold a bake-a-thon, a cake making competition or a tea party in the playground, this is a great way to raise funds and get everyone to improve their baking skills at the same time.
For a healthy challenge, you could put fruit kebabs, tasty smoothies or yummy muffins on the menu instead. Don’t forget to check if anyone has a nut allergy before you add any nutty ingredients!
