Get your university or society involved in World AIDS Day and fundraise for Terrence Higgins Trust.
World AIDS Day is a brilliant opportunity to get people talking about HIV and sexual health. By encouraging young people to value their sexual health and by dispelling the all-too-common myths surrounding HIV, we can stamp out stigma and stop HIV in its tracks.
Ideas for universities
Whether you are the head of the Students’ Union, part of the RAG group, a member of the LGBT society or involved in university life at any level, there are loads of ways that you can get involved.
- Check out our red-themed cocktails [PDF]!
- World AIDS Day is a great time of year to organise a student party, so why not throw away the taboo of talking about sex and host your own Night of Controversy?
- Organise a bucket collection on campus and give a ribbon to everyone that donates.
- Take over the SU for the night and host your very own pub quiz. Get people to donate to enter and you could also have a raffle on the evening. We’ve even created questions and answers sheets for you!
