Edward Lucie-Smith is a British writer, poet, art critic and photographer. He is generally regarded as the most prolific and widely published writer on art. A number of his books, among them Movements in Art since 1945, Visual Arts of the 20th Century, A Dictionary of Art Terms and Art Today, are used as standard texts throughout the world.
Lucie-Smith’s photographs have been the subject of solo exhibitions in London, Barcelona, Rome, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, St Petersburg, Ljubljana and Rio de Janeiro among others. A book of his photographs, Flesh and Stone, was published by in October 2000.
