Kensington Place, iconic British brasserie since 1987. Reinventing itself one plate at a time, with a strong emphasis on fish & seafood.
A much-loved and iconic spot in the heart of W8 serving modern British brasserie-style food, with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood as well as a relaxed vibe.
Kensington Place first opened its doors in 1987 and established itself as the first modern British brasserie in London. Over the years, Kensington Place has continued from strength to strength and is now regarded as a destination restaurant for those seeking a relaxed and casual dining experience. The bright and airy interior, redesigned by Polly Dickens, captures the fresh, vibrant and charming atmosphere of this West London stalwart.
Catering for all the requirements, Kensington Place’s versatile space can be hired for lunch or dinner as well as providing an ideal venue for an off-site meeting. The private dining room has a bright and airy feel with a high vaulted ceiling, in the centre of which sits a generous skylight. The space is completely self-contained allowing to enjoy an entirely private, tailor-made event.
Kensington Place welcomes groups of up to 40 people in the main restaurant and it is ideal for family celebrations, a company get together or any larger occasion. Positioned at the top of Kensington Church Street, a stone’s throw from Notting Hill underground, the revolving door of the striking glass frontage propels customers into a bustling, energetic bar. Alongside the group menus, our Head Chef Arnold Ivey can create an “on the day” bespoke menu including fresh fish sourced from the early morning catch at Billingsgate Market.
