a man trains a group

Can you communicate and share your experience? We need you to train people for the fight against HIV.

Volunteers help deliver training and group work facilitation on a wide variety of topics. Volunteers may facilitate training for other volunteers, to community groups or service users. Some areas have a Positive Speakers project where volunteers who are living with HIV talk to community groups and stakeholders.

Each time I start delivering a new course for newly diagnosed gay men I am struck by how scared, nervous, apprehensive, angry they are.

At the end of the six weeks it overwhelms me to see them going out in the world with their heads that little bit higher, their confidence that little bit restored.  And to know that I have been some small part of that restoration is reward enough for me.
