Housing and community care

If you have a long-term sexual health problem, such as HIV or Hepatitis C, this can affect your housing situation.

The stress caused by problems to do with your home can add to the pressures that you're already feeling from other aspects of your situation. Because of this we've got THT specialists who can help to reduce your worries about housing, so you can devote more energy to the rest of your life.

Here are some of the more common housing problems we help with:

  • homelessness - maybe you've lost your accommodation, or are about to, and have nowhere to stay
  • disrepair - do you have a landlord who won't repair rented property after being notified of problems?
  • illness - poor housing can affect your health
  • community care services can help if you are struggling at home because of your health.

If your circumstances aren't the same as any of these, don't worry. If you call THT Direct our specialist advisors will be able to help you. Their experience is so wide that it's very unlikely that they won't have come across your situation before, and helped to solve it.
