We ask for these things to help us answer your question better, not to collect information about you.

It's not always obvious what sex and age someone is - our advice and the services you can use might depend on those things. We ask about your nearest town just so that we can tell you about local services.

At the end of the day we've left the choice down to you whether you give us those details or not – the important thing is that we answer your question.

You’ll get a code when you ask your question. That means that only you can get to the answer and you can pick it up when it suits you. If you want more support we can help you get it – whether it’s over the phone, in a group, or coming to see a counsellor.
