Nick Partridge, Dannii Minogue & Gordon Brown

On Wednesday 28th November Gordon and Sarah Brown hosted a reception at 10 Downing Street to mark World AIDS Day and THT’s 25th Anniversary.

Mr Brown became the first Prime Minister in 15 years to talk publicly about the domestic HIV epidemic, praising the work of the Trust and pledging to do more to fight HIV related discrimination.

Nick Partridge and Camilla Smith from THT also spoke to an audience comprised of future and past leaders in the fight against HIV in the UK, including politicians, clinicians, young people and even Dannii Minogue, who made a special appearance to show her support.

Camilla said, `I was delighted to be given the opportunity to meet the Prime Minister and talk to him about THT’s committment to giving young people access to and a voice about their sex and relationships education.

He was interested to hear about the Young Leaders project which enables young people to take the lead in challenging and changing the way they, and their peers, learn about sex and relationships as well as making a meaningful contribution to their communities.' she told us.
