Young LeadersGet involved with the Young Leaders project and help create innovative education projects about relationships, sex and sexual health. | ![]() |

Here's some of the projects you've run in London:
Arts Showcase run by 6th form students to the rest of the school. Used dance, drama and spoken word to explore the influence of alcohol on sexual choices. Followed up with peer education cafes.
Exploring contraception and sexual health services. Uses videos to overcome the myths associated with accessing sexual health clinics.
Working with French-speaking African young people raising awareness of HIV and AIDS.
Group of young mothers running a sexual health and relationships event for young people aged 13-23. Workshops and information stalls as well as a drama piece and guest speakers.
Sexual health and relationships booklet for LGBT students in colleges and universities supported by workshops.
Sexual health and relationships event for young people. Information stall about sexual health, access to condoms and workshops exploring a range of sexual health and relationship issues.
The project brings together young trans people from around the country to allow them a safe space in which to discuss sexual health and relationships. Will discuss personal experiences as well as take part in workshops. The aim is to gather trans specific information to benefit young trans people nationally.
Small group workshops within a school specifically targeting girls in year 10. The workshops will focus on self esteem and confidence in addition to other sexual health issues.
Interviews will be conducted with young people about how they feel about sex and relationships. The audio will then be shared with young people and youth centres to facilitate sessions on the issue. The audio will also be edited into radio pieces which will be broadcast on an urban music radio station called Pyro Radio and put on a website.
A radio station focusing on sexual health and relationship issues will be set up and broadcast online for young people to listen to. Songs will be played that looked at relationships as well as guest speakers giving opinions on recent statistics surrounding around sexual health. Advice would also be given around sexual health, contraception, pregnancy and relationships in between songs.
The project will put together a DVD that can be circulated around secondary schools in Hounslow. The DVD will cover SRE from a young person’s perspective and would be used within PSHE lessons already in schools to aid in the teaching of SRE. An e-mail address and support will also be set up to deal with unanswered questions.

Having been virtual strangers at the beginning of our time as board members, we've all become good friends and we've been seeing each other at weekly meetings, having a good time and a right laugh whilst learning and earning our OCN acreditation.
Told some youth groups in Lewisham about applying for a grant from THT (only the worthy ones!)
Us on the London board have just finished the grants it took ages but we survived, we had loads to go through and it was quite fun to look through everything I think that the more we look through the more fun it is an we can spend time debating.
