South West regional update

Hello, its Beth here again – Participation Officer for the South West Region.  I wanted to give you a quick update on the news from the Young Leaders in the South West!

Board 2 has now come to a close, with a new Board 3 in place to take the project forward until March 2010.  Board 2 celebrated their achievements with a day out in Bristol.  The group decided to take a boat trip on the floating harbour, seeing the sights from the waterways while listening to the historic tales of the city.

Next we went to the park for a picnic and games!  The sun was shining on us and everyone felt really proud of what they have achieved for young peoples’ sexual health, as well as for themselves.  Many of the board members achieved a level 2 accreditation in sex and relationships and team work and communication skills.   Even though Board 2 has finished their training, many members are still involved with the project as peer educators.
