Challenges

Fancy plunging 10,000 feet straight down or breathing the rarefied air of the high Andes? You can raise funds for THT by skydiving or taking part in an overseas trek. What's stopping you?

Overseas challenges

Stop dreaming and do it. There’s a whole wide world out there, just waiting for you. And what better way to see it than an overseas trek for THT?

If you’ve always longed to breathe the rarefied air of the high Andes or trek, bike and raft through the Himalayas, what better way to fulfil your dream than an overseas fundraising challenge!

Perhaps it’s the history of the Inca Trail or the Great Wall of China that sets your pulse racing, or maybe the bleak beauty of Icelandic lava fields. Or would you like to perch on the edge of a volcano in Ecuador?

How you can get involved

Challenges last from a few days to two weeks, and generally require no more than a general level of fitness and a big dollop of commitment. The possibilities will make your knees tremble.

Skydiving

Fancy the pure adrenaline rush of plunging 10,000 feet straight down? That’s what you get with a tandem skydive (along with the privilege of being strapped to a professional parachute instructor for the duration of the descent).

If you’d prefer to savour the freedom of the skies alone, opt for a solo 2,000ft or 3,000ft static line jump.

It takes a lot of nerve to jump out of a plane, but knowing that you’re helping to raise vital funds for HIV and AIDS will put a spring in your step.

You can get started straight away by registering here.

How you can get involved

Whether you choose a tandem skydive or static line jump, there’s no doubt it’ll be the thrill of a lifetime. And here’s the best part - if you raise the minimum sponsorship, your jump is free.

Jumps take place throughout the year and are run by qualified instructors at sites all over the country.
