Mega Raid

On 24th November 2007, 130 students and volunteers descended on the streets of London to collect for our annual Mega Raid to mark World AIDS Day.  Once again the event wouldn’t have been possible without the lovely people at King’s College London who played host to students from Royal Holloway, Aston, Lincoln and Nottingham universities.

The collection was a fantastic success with everyone managing to collect just over £3,000 for Terrence Higgins Trust!  That’s an amazing amount for a few frantic hours of bucket rattling in the freezing cold!

A great big thank you goes out to everybody who took part. All participants should be mightily pleased with themselves but a special congratulations goes to Joe Edwards, our top collector on the day. 

After a long day of bucket rattling, students were able to put their feet up and enjoy some well earned food and a nice warm cuppa at Tutu’s nightclub. As a sign of our gratitude for their support everybody also took home with them an exciting goody bag containing French Connection products, condoms, sweets and other treats and surprises.

We hope to see you all again, and some new faces, at next year’s Mega Raid on 29th November 2008.
