Barclays has been a committed supporter of THT since 2000. Over the last two years, Barclays has donated over £50,000 in support of THT’s work with African communities in the Midlands and South London, including projects for children and families, local outreach work, and the provision of information, advice and support around complex health and social welfare needs.

Why Barclays supports THT

"As one of the largest banks operating in Africa, Barclays recognises the devastating impact that HIV can have on people's lives," says Rachael Barber, Head of Community Affairs at Barclays. 

"In Africa we have developed a pioneering HIV/AIDS policy and a Health and Wellbeing programme to support our employees in dealing with the impact of the disease. We are therefore very pleased to be supporting this important initiative in the UK, particularly as HIV/AIDS is a cause that sometimes struggles to attract corporate donations.”
