HBOS has been a valued supporter of THT for many years. They have donated over £160,000 to help THT develop financial literacy provision as an integral part of our services.

A grant of £80,000 covered the post of a full time Debt Counsellor and the production and distribution of support materials.  In 2007 THT was awarded a further grant of £86,000 to enable the extension of this service to vulnerable young people at risk of sexual exploitation. It will also help people living with HIV, who have had debt advice from THT, to help them gain the confidence and skills to return to work.

Janet Roberts, Grants Officer for the HBOS Foundation said: ‘We’re delighted to provide further funding for this worthwhile service. We hope it will have a lasting impact on people living with HIV in the West Midlands - not only by directly helping those living with HIV and those at risk, but by breaking down barriers and changing attitudes about HIV within the community.’
