Almost 20 people are still being diagnosed with HIV every day in the UK. Find out how you can help Terrence Higgins Trust to be there for them.

Trusts and foundations

Support from trusts and foundations is vital in helping us to provide services to people affected by HIV, and to promote good sexual health in the UK.

City Parochial Foundation has supported Terrence Higgins Trust since 1988 and over that time has made grants totalling £143,406, for our work in London. City Parochial Foundation has recently supported one of our research projects. Policing Transmission aimed to investigate the impact of recent and current policing of HIV transmission cases. We hope the resulting report will be used by the Association of Chief Police Officers and the Metropolitan Police Service to establish best practice.

Why the Foundation supports us

"City Parochial Foundation generally supports small and medium-sized voluntary and community organisations. It does, however, fund larger bodies where they can demonstrate that the work they are seeking funding for has a close fit with the Foundation’s priorities and where the work is innovative or unique," explains Mubin Haq, Principal Grants Officer of City Parochial Foundation.

"The Foundation also supports work which is unpopular and is less likely to receive funding from other sources. HIV and AIDS is still a major problem and the Foundation funds a number of organisations tackling this issue in London, including THT which remains a significant resource."
