Volunteer with us

Volunteers play a vital role in everything that we do. From helping to deliver front-line services to helping with admin, everyone who volunteers is valued beyond measure.

Admin assistant

As an admin assistant you could be involved in all kinds of duties from maintaining, monitoring and keeping up to date stocks of publications and stationery to producing and distributing newsletters. You might help with might photocopying and filing. The work can involve the devlopment of computer skills - you could be maintaining databases or running mailmerges. Sometimes we need help with mail-outs - it's then a case of all hands to the pumps to fill envelopes which will be posted out as part of a vital campaign. At the end of the day your work as an admin assistant can be as varied as the charity's work is.

Skills you need

We need people who are organised, methodical and keen to learn new systems - we're not asking you to learn computer skills overnight but we do need you to be able to pick them up with training and support. Any experience of administration would be helpful and you do need to be able to maintain confidentiality.

Benefits

We provide full training, reimbursement of out of pocket expenses, support and supervision. We can give you a reference, and this is a great opportunity to develop and update skills and gain new experiences. Last but not least it's a wonderful way to meet a great selection of new people.
