Assistant facilitator

THT Groupwork London are looking to recruit gay men as volunteers to assist with delivering a number of skills based groups to gay men across London. The aim of the workshops is to provide information and guidance to gay men to take more control over the sex they have and reduce behaviour likely to lead to HIV and other sexually transmitted infections.

Each group will be led by an experienced facilitator with support and assistance provided by volunteers. Your availability can be flexible, anything from 3 hours a month to 3 hours a week, but you'll need to be able to work evenings and weekends.

You’ll need to have experience, or be comfortable, in co-facilitating groups or training with gay men, excellent communication skills and an ability to work with people from diverse communities. Full training is provided.

There are also opportunities for paid sessional work for experienced facilitators. You will lead one of the groups and must be able to demonstrate a good track record of facilitating group work with gay men and an excellent understanding of group dynamics.
