Chlamydia Screening Assistants

We need a team of confident, friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to work on our chlamydia screening project. The aim is to offer FREE Chlamydia Screening to young people 16-24 year olds. This will take the form of a community based outreach (3-4 hour) sessions on specific days.

You will be paired with a mentor for a few sessions and training will also be available but the aim is to get people on the ground as soon as possible once they are ready and fully CRB checked.

Once these are established, you will be allocated various shifts ranging from street based outreach within the town centre to screening at football matches, youth clubs etc. These will include evenings and weekends!

You will also have excellent communication skills and knowledge of the local area would be useful. This is a very good opportunity for those with an interest in public health.
