Media Speakers

Are you HIV+ and willing to speak to the media about living with HIV, either anonymously or in person? The THT press office is looking for people who would be willing to talk to journalists about their experiences of living with HIV.

Hearing from someone with direct experience of living with HIV is one of the most effective ways to raise awareness amongst the general public. Your experience can carry far more of an impact about the realities of living with HIV than a spokesperson or an ‘expert’.

We are looking for people who are able to be identified as well as people who would prefer to do so anonymously - particularly for interviews with radio stations. On average we tend to contact our media speakers a few times a year to discuss interview requests – especially around World AIDS Day.

The press office is on hand to provide ongoing advice and support and to guide people through the process of being interviewed and provide support when you need it.
