Congratulations to our staff in the London Volunteer Office who have won two awards from Camden Volunteer Centre for their work with volunteers. The awards were presented by Glenda Jackson MP at a ceremony at the British Museum on 20th November.
THT were nominated to receive five awards and won two of the categories. Firstly we were presented with the award for Innovation in Volunteer Involvement as well as the top award of 2008 Volunteering Organisation of the Year which recognises overall excellence in volunteer recruitment, support, selection, training, and the way we recognise and value volunteers.
Stuart Allen, London Volunteer Manager, said "These awards are extra special because we were nominated by our very own volunteers who had some particularly wonderful things to say about their experience of volunteering with THT and which were read out at the ceremony. We were up against 19 other organisations for the awards so to win two out of five is a tremendous achievement".
