THT has been invited to a round table meeting with the Work and Pensions Minister, Chris Grayling MP, to speak about the future of the Work Capability Assessment. This is the face-to-face assessment that is used to decide people’s entitlement to the Employment and Support Allowance.
We know that many people with HIV have had a bad experience of this assessment, including medical examinations from assessors who don’t seem to know about HIV. We depend on our supporters to let us know about these problems. If you are living with HIV and have any questions or suggestions for change that you would like us to put forward on your behalf to the Minister, then we want to hear from you.
Please get in touch by Wednesday 13th July by emailing campaigns@tht.org.uk.
