As part of Terrence Higgins Trust’s role in building the skills of people working with people with HIV we are pleased to announce the dates for a series of training courses.
The courses will provide information and a discussion based environment so that workers can update their knowledge and skills in the area of health promotion for people with HIV. They will be delivered in a supportive, learning centred environment, encouraging participants to take responsibility for their own learning and development.
Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences, learn from each other and discuss issues with the trainer. The courses are free to paid and unpaid staff working at Terrence Higgins Trust and staff from external agencies. They run from 9.45 to 16.30.
In addition to this structured course we can also tailor-make training to meet the needs of your organisation.
If you'd like to book a place please contact James Glavin (see below).
You can find out more about the courses by downloading the course guide.
If you have clients who have immigration, housing, community care or welfare benefits problems, you can refer them to THT Direct's generalist advice service for help and advice.
We also provide community support, counselling and refugee mentoring. Contact THT Direct to find the service nearest to your client.
