Sexuality

Sexuality is one of the things people have the most worries and concerns about. After all many cultural groups and religious groups say that this sexuality or that one is `abnormal' or `sinful'.

In addition to that it's often been the case in the past that people who weren't heterosexual were discriminated against or bullied. For that reason many people are scared of anything to do with sexuality.

At Terrence Higgins Trust we believe that everyone is entitled to respect whatever their sexuality. We believe that punishing people because of who they are attracted to is not only cruel and unfair but also as ridiculous as punishing someone because of the colour of their eyes.

We've also seen how stigmatising those people pushes them into areas where sexual health resources are hard to come by making them vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections and HIV.

For those reasons we campaign to fight prejudice and discrimination on the grounds of sexuality and provide support to people who have concerns about their sexuality.

If that's support you'd like to access get in touch with THT Direct.

The important thing to remember is that you're not alone.
