The Sussex office of Terrence Higgins Trust (THTSouth) will be open to the public on Wed 27th August, from 4-8pm.

This Open Day will enable visitors to see the HIV prevention and support work carried out by the office and to hear about volunteering opportunities in the organisation.

Perry French – Regional Manager for Social Care says:
“We want to encourage men and women in the area to consider the benefits of volunteering with THT South.  Most of our existing volunteers have full-time jobs and busy lives, but enjoy the atmosphere, opportunities and satisfaction they get from volunteering with us. We are actively encouraging people from Black and minority ethnic communities and people with HIV to train as volunteers.

Our work depends on the input of volunteers into the five teams: Campaigns development, training and education, community support (one to one emotional support), outreach to the gay community, and mentoring.  Without volunteers THTSouth would not be able to carry out its essential work.”
