Terrence Higgins Trust (THT), AXA Insurance and NW Brown have joined forces to offer a travel insurance product which doesn’t discriminate against individuals on the grounds of their HIV status. And better still, for every policy sold, THT will receive a donation.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition such as HIV, travel insurance policies often withdraw certain medical and emergency benefits, or worse still, impose blanket restrictions. This practice is applied particularly to people with HIV, even when people are medically well and their HIV is well managed.  Freedom Travel Insurance aims to address this by providing a comprehensive travel insurance product, which includes full medical cover (subject to health screening). 

Andy Munro, Director of Finance at Terrence Higgins Trust says: “This product enables people to be completely upfront about their HIV status when buying travel insurance, knowing that it will be kept completely confidential.
