Nick Partridge, Chief Executive of Terrence Higgins Trust, commented on the Labour Party manifesto commitment to work for treatment for all the world's 40 million HIV/Aids cases by 2010:

“We warmly welcome Labour's commitment to ensure global HIV treatment availability. However, they should start by ensuring HIV treatment is available to everyone who needs it in the UK now. Some recent migrants living in England are being refused HIV treatment causing them to need more expensive emergency treatment and damaging public health."
