Terrence Higgins Trust will be distributing 80,000 condoms to revellers at EuroPride on 1 July. The condoms will come in packs of two along with some water based lube. The pack, supported by Confident Condoms and Ford, will also carry messages about safer sex, sexually transmitted infections and how to use a condom properly.
“This case is a tragedy for those involved and re-emphasises the importance of safer sex. Most people with HIV try hard not to pass the virus on. However, a third of people living with HIV don’t know they have it, which is why everyone should take responsibility for their own sexual health. Condoms are still the best form of protection.” Lisa Power, Head of Policy for Terrence Higgins Trust.
