Terrence Higgins Trust appeals for volunteers in Gloucestershire

Terrence Higgins Trust (THT) in Gloucester is launching a volunteer recruitment drive today. The HIV and sexual health charity is looking for local people from across Gloucestershire who are able to give up some of their time to support its work.

In particular THT is looking for people to cover the following roles:

  • Community support volunteers, offering emotional and social support to local people living with HIV.
  • Qualified or student counsellors to offer that extra level of emotional support to service users.
  • Receptionists to support new sexual health testing services at the Gloucester centre.

Jonathan Bloxham, Community Support Worker at THT in Gloucester said: “Our volunteers play a vital role in our work and without them we couldn’t provide all the services we do. In return for giving up some of your time we’ll ensure you’re trained and supported. It’s also a great opportunity to make new friends. If you’re interested in making a difference and would like to help Terrence Higgins Trust, please get in touch.”
