'What next?' and myHIV are being merged.
'What next?' was a website designed to help recently diagnosed gay men learn what it's like to live with HIV and be able to get on with their lives.
It taught how to control and manage HIV and not have HIV control you. It had information about the virus, disclosure, sex, relationships, general health, as well as video stories and diaries.
'What next?' was a very successful website that was able to help a lot of men. But now, with the creation and success of myHIV, 'What next?' will be discontinued.
myHIV is now the place to go for all this same information after being newly diagnosed. Once you're on myHIV you can select 'Show content for: Gay' persona from the right hand side and you will see it has the same features and more.
myHIV has information on living with HIV, staying healthy, relationships and disclosure, welfare rights, as well as a private membership area where people with HIV can keep track of their appointments and viral load, and access online counselling and advice. Another great feature is the forum where we have created a safe and private space for people with HIV to talk with their peers about issues important to them.
And myHIV still has diaries and stories from people living with HIV, many of whom are the same contributors who wrote for 'What next?'
We're sad to see 'What next?' go, but it has been replaced with a bigger and better website that is helping many more people and already has over 2,000 members!
