World AIDS Day 2011 is on December 1st - what will you be doing for it?
We're asking thousands of people across the country to unite and be proud to make a big noise about HIV and AIDS by Standing Up and Standing Out on this important day.
Wear your red ribbon with pride and you’ll be Standing Up and Standing Out for people living with HIV. Selling red ribbons to your friends, family and colleagues is a simple way for you to make a real difference for those living with, and affected by, HIV.
But there are other ways that you can Stand Up and Stand Out You and help remember those who’ve lost their lives to AIDS. You could:
In the UK, the number of people living with HIV will reach 100,000 before the year is out and there is still no cure. HIV thrives on ignorance and shame. After 30 years, it is time to end the stigma associated with HIV and AIDS once and for all.
