You may have heard of the Welfare Reform Bill and be wondering what it is and how it could affect you.
The Welfare Reform Bill lists all the changes the Coalition Government wants to make to the benefit system. The changes the Government wants to make are controversial and mark the biggest overhaul of the welfare system in over 60 years. The Bill has been passed by both Houses and now will be sent for Royal Assent.So what does the Government want to do?
The biggest change the Government wants to make is to introduce a 'Universal Credit' to replace a range of existing benefits and tax credits for people of working age.
