Walk for Life is back and this year it’s bigger and better than ever!
Last year’s event with its Wizard of Oz theme was a huge success and saw an army of Dorothys, witches, tin men and cowardly lions make their way down the Yellow Brick Road from City Hall to the Embankment and back to raise vital funds for our Hardship Fund. The walk raised over £100,000 to help support people living with HIV who are in severe financial need.
This year’s theme is Kings and Queens so we’ll be having a right royal knees up, with plenty of princes and princesses, dukes and duchesses, kings and queens and perhaps even a few corgis! Quite fitting given that our current Queen celebrates her Jubilee a mere two weeks later.
If royalty isn’t your thing then think outside the box and be creative – you could come as a King or Queen of pop - Lady Gaga, Rihanna or Jessie J, a set of playing cards, or even Priscilla Queen of the Desert!
This year’s Walk for Life is on 20 May 2012, we hope you can join us for some king-sized amounts of fun! To register or find out more, go to www.walkforlife.co.uk or call the Royal hotline on 020 7812 1665. You never know – this could be your crowning achievement!
