Brand names: Epivir

Class: NRTIs (Nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors)

Side-effects:

More common: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, abdominal pain, hair loss, fever, insomnia (difficult sleeping), rash, tiredness, runny nose, joint pain
Rare: Lactic acidosis, liver damage

Dosage:

150mg twice a day or 300mg once a day

Notes:

Take with or without food.
