myHIV has gone mobile! Now you can access your favourite myHIV tools from your i-phone.
Our free app gives you secure access to the award-winning suite of tools from this website on your i-phone. The app, called Life plus, has been developed with a panel of people living with HIV, medical experts, and partner charities.
Life plus has been funded by the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
You can download Life plus from the i-tunes app store here:
You can also search for life plus in the i-tunes app store.
If you are already a member of myHIV you can download the app and just log straight in with your usual membership details.
If you're new to myHIV you can create your account when you set the app up. Your app details will let you login to the website too and you'll find all of your mobile data there when you arrive.
All of your personal data is encrypted in transit and stored on a secure server. In addition you can set the app to lock so that no-one else can stumble upon it on your phone. In fact the app's called Life plus so that it's not obvious that it's about HIV.
If you still have concerns about your privacy you can always register with an alias - you don't have to give us your real name. We only ask some details so we can understand and demonstrate who we are helping.
Just like myHIV we won't share the data that you do give us on the app with anyone else.
We could only afford to develop an app on one platform and our research showed that the majority of our target audeince used i-phones. If Life plus is a success we'll try to secure funding for other platforms.

The app seems to really struggle syncing data which has been input. One moment it's there and working and the next time you log on its gone and there's a message saying Trying to Sync. There is no refresh facility so you have no idea if its actually working. Ironically, when I log on from my iPad, it seems to work but the iPhone is a disaster.
Hi Amadeus We're sorry to hear that you've been having trouble with the app. We've been working on a new version that will be available in the App Store in the next week or so, and hopefully that will solve the problems you've been having. Regards The web team.
