Hello everyone!
We’re happy to report that we have had a very busy month here at the Health, Wealth and Happiness project. We finished our first Positively Ageing group for gay and bisexual men at the end of November and it really was a great success. For the pilot we covered a different topic each week:
We finished the group by sharing a healthy meal together, an experience I thoroughly enjoyed. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and it was a pleasure to see and hear how the guys had progressed.
We have scheduled our next group to start at the beginning of February. If you’re interested in attending please give our project line a call on:

or drop us an email at:

We’ve also had the first meeting of our advisory group. We had very productive discussions around the future of the project, what directions we could go in and we also had a leaflet design approved. We are very fortunate to have Lisa Power, our Policy Director, chairing the group.
Lisa has years of experience in the sector and is an expert on HIV and ageing. She was one of the lead researchers on 50 Plus, a national study into the needs of people aged 50 and over who are living with HIV in the UK. The findings of 50 Plus were the main inspiration for the Health, Wealth and Happiness project. We’re very excited to have her input, and the input of our other excellent advisory group members.
I’d like to extend our best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season to everyone reading from the Health, Wealth and Happiness team.
