Gala Dinner

Gala Dinner

The Friends for Life Gala Dinner is our flagship fundraising event, attended by Terrence Higgins Trust’s closest friends and celebrity supporters.

Hosted by Friends for Life President, Stephen Fry, the events have raised more than £8 million over the years towards our vital work.

The Gala Dinner is held in June every year at a prestigious London venue. Past venues include Kensington Roof Gardens, The Park Lane Hilton, The Royal Hospital Chelsea, Grosvenor House and The Royal Courts of Justice. The 2012 Gala Dinner was held in the fabulous Art Deco ballroom at the Park Lane Hotel in Mayfair.

On the night, guests are greeted by Stephen Fry and treated to a champagne reception, followed by a three course meal. During the evening there is a speech and appeal by Stephen Fry and the guests are invited to make a personal pledge of support to Terrence Higgins Trust. The evening ends with some surprise live entertainment.

The Gala Dinner is an opportunity for Friends and Associate Friends for Life to renew their annual commitment to support us, and forms an important part of the Friends for Life Programme.
