Find out what we'll do with your money to change the lives of people living with HIV.

In the last 12 months, over 100,000 people have used our services – a significant number. And with this number likely to increase, the need for funds is greater than ever. With the numbers of people living with HIV increasing year on year and the services operating on limited funds, your donations can help us make sure that we are there for everyone who needs our help.

HIV is the fastest growing long term health condition in the UK but still remains one of the least popular causes to support. Late diagnosis is one of the biggest contributing factors to illness and death for people with HIV. It is very important that HIV is diagnosed early, so people can start treatment, look after their own health and take steps to ensure they don’t pass on the virus.

Many people with HIV fear discrimination and the prejudice they will encounter should their status become known. This fear can deter people from getting tested in the first place but also after a positive diagnosis, prevent them from active involvement in everyday life; things like finding employment, new activities and from finding a partner. Being unable to talk to family or friends through fear of their reaction can lead to isolation and anxiety. This is why support like our counselling and mentoring services are a vital lifeline to people who otherwise would have absolutely nowhere to turn.

Terrence Higgins Trust relies heavily on individual donations to support people living with HIV, and the demand for this support currently exceeds resources. So we are very grateful and fortunate to have a small amount of extremely loyal supporters who understand the difficulties we face and are there to stand by us. In spite of the cuts in government public spending, we have done everything in our power to keep our essential services running, but there is so much more that needs to be done. We desperately need more help.

We would not be able to provide our vital services without support from donors. Our donors enable us to continue to help people living with HIV by providing essential services. We believe everyone deserves the right support whatever their circumstances. The spread of HIV affects us all.

Every single donation is extremely valued.

However you choose to donate, you will be helping to make a difference. A regular gift is quick and easy to set up, and will help us to plan our services into the future. Or if you’d prefer, you could make a one off donation, which will help us today to provide the vital services that people with HIV so desperately need.

Make a donation now.

Thank you.
