By putting HIV on the agenda in your Student Union you’ll also be encouraging students to think about their own sexual health and empowering them to make safer choices. We know that you’re an imaginative bunch bursting with your own fantastic fundraising ideas, from the weird to the wonderful, whatever you’ve got planned we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Or why not grab some Terrence Higgins Trust collection buckets and raise some vital funds for people living with HIV? Whether you’re organising a RAG raid, pub crawl or bed race we’ll give you all the support we can, from securing a street collection permit on your behalf to providing fundraising materials.
We can offer advice and guidance on your fundraising plans and supply fundraising materials from balloons and posters to red ribbons and collection tins. Most importantly of all, we’ll provide bags of enthusiasm and encouragement along the way.

Dust down that apron, find your rolling pin and start baking. Whether you hold a bake-a-thon, a cake making competition or a tea party in your office, this is a great way to raise funds and show off your culinary skills at the same time.
You could hold a ‘promises auction’ selling willing volunteers’ talents to the highest bidder. Promises can range from the mundane to the outrageous!
Any excuse for a party! Ask everyone to pay an entry fee in advance and hold a raffle on the night to raise extra funds. Add a fancy dress theme for extra fun - how about an Oscar party? Or dig out those shoulder pads and head back to the 1980s to mark our 30th anniversary.
Find the sportsperson in you - organise a five-a-side tournament and charge for entry and post-match refreshments. You could pit staff, friends, family or neighbours against each other and get some healthy competition going.
Test your brain cells by organising a quiz night. Get every team to pay an entry fee, or make it even more interesting and have the losing team make the biggest donation!
