If you or someone you know has been a victim of hate crime and you feel unable to report it or you are worried about reporting it, we may be able to help. ‘Hate crime’ is any crime based upon the victim’s sexuality, disability, race, religion or transgender status.
This service can help if you want somebody to deal with professional bodies on your behalf - if you are uncertain who to approach or how to complete application forms, for example.
We can report the hate crime on your behalf. We can also offer counselling and any additional support you may need, including support with the police if your case goes to court.
It will help you to become engaged with the services available and to take those initial steps, so that in time you will feel able and ready to take control yourself.
Where relevant our services meet the following quality standards:
We commit to responding to initial enquiries and referrals within two working days.
