Like everyone, gay and bisexual men have difficulties and challenges in their lives. Many find that talking to someone about their lives helps them to make positive changes.
Each aspect of your life is connected. How you feel about your relationships, your home life and your work life are all interwoven. You may feel that you do not have as much control over your drug or alcohol use as you would like, or be unhappy with the sexual risks that you are taking.
Counselling allows you to see these from a different angle and gives you the opportunity to make changes.
Whilst we’re funded to counsel gay and bisexual men about their sexual health our funding doesn’t allow us to provide counselling for you about other areas of your life.
That’s why we’ve developed Connect – our low-cost counselling service. It’s based in King’s Cross, London where we provide a safe, neutral space. You are welcome to come on your own or with your partner. Each session lasts for 50 minutes and we're able to offer short and longer term contracts depending on your need.

Terrence Higgins Trust has over 25 years experience of working with gay and bisexual men. Our counsellors are non-judgemental and can help you explore your issues, make sense of your experiences and find solutions that are best for you.
It can be hard to talk to a friend or relative about how you feel. Our counsellors are here to help you express yourself freely and to find the solutions that are best for you.
Payment
You can pay for counsellling sessions online now with a credit card or debit card. Payments are handled by Paypal and sessions are by appointment only. Please call 020 7812 1777 to arrange an appointment before you pay for sessions.
Alternatively you can send a cheque payable to Terrence Higgins Trust to Counselling at the address below. You need to pay at least one week in advance of your session. We offer a means-assessed service with a sliding scale depending upon your income.
Lower income
If your income is £30,000 or less sessions cost £30:
Higher income
If you have an income of more than £30,000 then this cost rises to £40 a session:

If you'd like to come with your partner then each session costs £50 per couple:
