What’s it about?
Terrence Higgins Trust runs a City and Guilds course which aims to increase knowledge and understanding of how HIV is transmitted and prevented and how it is managed through treatment and medication. It also looks at the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS.
What’s the benefit?
It is a Level 2 award – it is awarded by City and Guilds and the qualification is not offered elsewhere.
What does the training involve?
There are two methods of delivery - you can complete the course through distance learning following a telephone induction. Alternatively you can attend two training days that support the completion of three assignments which are required to be completed as distance learning.
When is it happening?
We run courses throughout the year but if an organisation wants us to deliver at their premises to a cohort of staff, this can be arranged. If you are interested in taking the City and Guilds please contact:
