Sexual health

Sexual health

Find out more about sexually transmitted transmitted infections, symptoms and treatment at our sexual health course.

What’s it about?

Attendees will be given an overview of sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including what they are, transmission, recognising symptoms and which treatment is used. We also cover contraception methods, condom use and broader issues around sexual health such as why people have sex and good and bad reasons for having sex. We also look at why people take risks with their sexual health and how these can be avoided.

What’s the benefit?

This course is for people who require a better understanding of all aspects of sexual ill-health and is delivered by a mixture of information-giving and discussion on attitudes and behaviour. All training is fully interactive.

What does the training involve?

Training can be half-day or full-day dependant on your needs - it can be delivered at your workplace or at a Terrence Higgins Trust centre.
