What are the benefits of attending a Terrence Higgins Trust training course?
Why us?
We have almost 30 years experience of working in HIV and sexual health and can provide a range of training which can be tailored to your requirements. Our trainers are all OCN accredited and most importantly the training is routed in practice as our trainers work directly with clients and service users.
We deliver workshop type training which gives factual information in a safe space for people to reflect on their attitudes and practice.
What’s the benefit?
Attendees will receive the highest quality training experience delivered by trainers for whom HIV and sexual health is the ‘day job’. By the end of the training attendees will have learned the facts and as a result will be more confident in dealing with HIV and other sexual health issues.
Previous attendees report that their attitudes and indeed practice has changed as a result of the training and that the trainee was useful in both their work and personal life.
How are we trained?
All of our trainers are OCN accredited at level 2.0 - Training the Sexual Health Trainer.
How does it work?
Training can be designed to fit the needs of the attendees. Course are usually a half or a full day and can be delivered in any place of work, at our centres or other venue.
How much does it cost?
Trainee costs range from free to £1,000 per day dependant on what is required (and if courses are externally funded) – we are happy to negotiate.
