Terrence Higgins Trust is the leading provider of health and social care information on HIV in the UK. The charity is also a significant provider of information on general sexual health.
Our written health and social care information is distributed widely by the charity’s regional centres; outreach distribution schemes; partnership arrangements with other HIV and sexual health organisations; GUM and HIV clinics; GP surgeries and other Primary Care settings. Printed booklets are available to order by the public from THT Direct and can be downloaded in electronic format from our website. We are committed to providing high quality health and social care information. As a certified member of The Information Standard we can confidently say we are a reliable and trustworthy source of health and/or social care information

The Information Standard is a new certification scheme for the production of health and social care information. Any organisation producing health and/or social care information for the public in England can apply for certification.
It is an independently governed, voluntary scheme, supported by the Department of Health and managed by Capita whose role is to apply the standard impartially. Certified organisations have demonstrated that they have the necessary methods and systems to ensure that the information they produce is accessible, accurate, appropriately researched, authoritative, clear, complete, readable, relevant, secure, up-to-date and well-designed.
Terrence Higgins Trust shall hold responsibility for the accuracy of the information they publish and neither the scheme operator nor the scheme owner shall have any responsibility whatsoever for costs losses or direct or indirect damages or costs arising from inaccuracy of information or omissions in information published on the website on behalf of Terrence Higgins Trust.
