It's more than 40 years since the first case of HIV/AIDS in the UK, and the death of Terry Higgins, whose loved ones founded Terrence Higgins Trust in his name.

We’ve come a long way since volunteers and staff established the helpline, the Buddy scheme, counselling, legal advice and a hardship fund. As the epidemic changed, so did we.

Today, our helpline THT Direct provides vital support when people need it, we support people living with HIV with a hardship fund, counselling, work support, peer-to-peer support to come to terms with their diagnosis. We campaign for change and an end to discrimination, and work to bring an end to new cases of HIV by 2030.

Help people living with HIV

With your support, we continue to change the lives of people living with HIV.

  • £15.92 could help answer one call to THT Direct, a lifeline that helps nearly 20,000 vulnerable people each year.
  • £50 could help provide a vital grant for people struggling to afford basic necessities.
  •  £100 could help fund our Living Well services ensuring those ageing with HIV received the support they need.

Today, tomorrow and into the future, together we will be here. Donate now.
