Hear from people living with HIV by booking one of our educational talks for your school, college, organisation or business.

About Positive Voices:

Positive Voices is a community project where people living with HIV share their personal stories and engage the wider community with the aim of raising awareness of HIV and promoting good sexual health for everyone.

Why book a talk?

HIV can affect anyone.

Over 100,000 people are living with HIV in the UK with around 6,000 people testing positive for HIV each year.

People living with HIV can face stigma and discrimination in educational settings, in the workplace and from their family and friends, which can prevent them from accessing HIV and sexual health services and support.

Positive Voices provides an opportunity to hear directly from someone living with HIV, ask questions and improve your knowledge of HIV and sexual health.

What we offer

Positive Voices speakers are fully trained to deliver sexual health presentations to diverse audiences in a range of settings including schools, colleges, faith-based groups and community organisations.

Our speakers cover HIV prevention and safer sex messages along with sharing their own experiences living with HIV. We also provide free resources.

How it works

We can tailor our presentations and discussions for young people and adults. We will discuss our visit with you before hand and ensure that our presentation is both appropriate and engaging.

Positive Voices provides this service at no cost, but donations are welcome.

Contact one of our Regional Coordinators today to book a speaker and for more information positivevoices@tht.org.uk.

Jake Jones'Positive Voices fitted wonderfully into our PSHE programme. The speaker was so engaging and charismatic, and delivered such a powerful message to our pupils. The awareness amongst pupils has dramatically increased and stigma profoundly reduced. I would wholeheartedly recommend Positive Voices to any education setting.'

Jake Jones, P.E teacher, The Cumberland School
