Terrence Higgins Trust is a charity registered in England and Wales (288527) and a company limited by guarantee (1778149), and a registered charity in Scotland (SC039986).
Our members are an important and valued part of our democratic structures. They elect trustees to our board and provide input to those trustees to ensure we’re always travelling in the right direction and providing the best possible service.
One way you can get involved in our work is by becoming a member.
Trustees are unpaid members of the charity who are either elected to the board by the other members or invited to join the board because of their specialist knowledge.
The executive team
The executive team works closely with the board of trustees to help turn our vision and strategy into a reality. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the charity.
Articles of Association
The charity is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. This document sets out the charity’s objects, and the framework within which we must operate to achieve these. The Memorandum and Articles of Association are approved by the Charity Commission, and are regularly reviewed by the trustees to ensure they remain up to date.
The trustees' report and financial statements
The trustees’ report and financial statements are published each year. They give an overview of the charity’s financial performance and position as well as outlining the charity's key achievements and activities in the year.
The charity's accounts are prepared in line with accounting standards and are subject to a full audit.
Gender Pay Gap Report
As an employer with over 250 staff members, Terrence Higgins Trust is required to publish an annual gender pay gap report.
