Our speakers use their personal stories to help people learn about HIV. By sharing their lived experiences, they challenge the stigma and discrimination that still surround the virus.
Public understanding of HIV is often shaped by the AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 1990s. But the reality of living with HIV now is very different. Outdated beliefs can lead to unfair treatment – in workplaces, schools, healthcare settings, and even from family and friends.
Because of stigma, 45% of people living with HIV have felt ashamed of their HIV status and 30% have felt isolated and lonely.
Our sessions aim to replace fear and misinformation with empathy, facts, and hope.

Quote textThe talk really brought how I understand what it is like to live with HIV to life. It is helpful to read about statistics, but hearing about someone's real life experiences is invaluable.

What our clients say about us
Quote textWe've been working on reducing the stigma around HIV, but hearing the message directly from people living with HIV creates a huge impact. Staff came up to us after the event to say how great the speakers were.
Quote textThis was an amazing and intensely moving talk. I have looked after people with HIV for many years, but this was a new perspective and will change my practice looking after women with HIV.
Quote textOne of the best lectures I’ve been to! The heavy and sensitive subject was addressed in a mature but still relaxed and entertaining way. It was especially interesting to hear different stories and perspectives of life with HIV. I definitely feel like I know more now than I did before the talk.
