- Red Ribbon Bake Sale - Sell red-themed treats with info cards about HIV/AIDS. Great for schools, offices, or community centers.
- Workplace Dress Red Day - Encourage colleagues to wear red and donate. Offer prizes for best outfit or most creative red accessory.
- Online Fundraiser with Matching Donations - Use platforms like JustGiving or GoFundMe and ask a local business to match donations up to a certain amount.
- Social Media Challenge - Create a hashtag challenge encouraging people to share why they support World AIDS Day and donate.

Fundraising with friends

- Create a Facebook fundraiser and make a difference. It’s quick and easy:
- Go to Terrence Higgins Trust on Facebook.
- Select ‘Fundraisers’ at the top of the page.
- Choose ‘Raise Money’.
- Personalise your fundraiser with a photo and why you’ve chosen to support us.
- Click 'Create'.
Fundraising at school, college or university
- Non-uniform or Wear it Red day Ask everyone to make a small donation and wear their own clothes, or even better as much red clothing as they can.
- Be the host with the most It could be a disco, film screening, fashion show, talent competition or concert. Ask around and see what would be most popular, then get planning!
- Get crafty Host a creative craft session, such as painting, drawing, or sewing. You might be surprised who has a hidden talent.
- Share your skills If you’re an expert in Excel or PowerPoint then be proud! Host tutorials and ask for a donation to come along.
- Sponsored silence It’s a classic fundraising idea and one of the best. Have a quiet day and as an added bonus, it’s a great excuse to not have any meetings.
- Organise a sponsored walk or run If you’re surrounded by fitness lovers then this event is for them! You could hold this during lunchtime and set everyone up for the afternoon.
